Things to do in Rome:

1. Trevi Fountain 00:38
The largest baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world.

2. Piazza Navona 01:03
There are about 30 different piazzas (or plazas) in the city of Rome, and Navona is our favourite.

3. Spanish Steps 01:33
Climbing a steep slope between the Piazza di Spagna at the base and Piazza Trinità dei Monti, dominated by the church of the same name at the top.

4. The Pantheon 02:05
One of our favourite buildings in the city and, like every holy building in Rome, it’s free to enter.

5. The Vatican 02:29
On our first visit to Rome, we missed the Vatican City because we simply ran out of time, but the last time we visited we stayed in Rome for 3 weeks, so we had plenty of time to finally see the famous city.

Also known as the Castle of the Holy Angel, this enormous cylindrical building at the end of the ornate Ponte St. Angelo bridge, was originally built as a mausoleum for Roman Emperor Hadrian and was once the tallest building in Rome.

10. Altar of The Fatherland 05:26
Located in the center of Piazza Venecia, This is my favourite building in Rome, and yet it’s one of Roman’s least favourite.

11. Via dei Fori Imperiali 06:28
A perfectly straight road that connects Piazza Venezia and the Colosseum.

12. Mercato Di Testaccio 07:15
This was definitely our favourite market in Rome and probably one of the best markets we’ve ever been to.

13. Pyramid of Cestius 08:21
The only of two ancient Roman pyramids left standing, the Pyramid of Cestius is right in the center of Testaccio Neighbourhood just a couple of blocks from the market.

14. Truffle Tasting 09:05
We joined a truffle tasting Airbnb Experience and it was excellent. We actually ended up booking 3 different Experiences with the same guide. The Sommelier, Mauro, serves delicious truffle butter, truffle oils and truffle cheeses and meats inside of his cool little shop.

19. Walk Along The River 13:15
One of our favourite things to do while in Rome is to walk along the Tiber River. Every morning, before we started working, we’d walk from Trastavere to one of the bridges on the river, walk down the steps to the massive boardwalks that a line the Tiber and we’d walk for 30 minutes to an hour.

20. Join a Food and Walking Tour 13:48
Last but not least on this list of the best things to do in Rome is to join a walking tour.
