The importance of mammograms
Around 240,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in women every year in the United States, according to the CDC. The U.S. Preventative Services Task Force has updated its guidelines to recommend that women start getting mammograms as early as 40. Dr. Anate Brauer, a double-board certified reproductive endocrinologist and ob-gyn at RMA of New York, joins New York Living to discuss the importance of breast cancer exams.
