CHANEL'S WHOPPING 25% INCREASE & WHY I THINK THEY'VE DONE IT.

Hey Everyone – I’ve had loads of you leaving me comments about the rumoured CHANEL May 2020 Price increase. Some of you have been reporting increases of between 7% and 17%! Others are saying 4% - 25%! This (to me) feels like the most insensitive time to be whacking your prices up, particularly by such a large amount.
What do you think? Will you still be buying from CHANEL?

My thoughts on why they might have done this at this time:
1. To possibly make-up for the 2 months where they couldn't make sales
2. It's a "quiet time" (what with the boutiques closed and we can't shop online anyway), so possibly they think they can sneak it in without too much attention?
3. Are CHANEL trying to change the type of customer that wears their goods? Are they trying to price people out??
