A 19-year-old nursing student, Seethalakshmi, passed away post-surgery at MGMGH Trichy. Over 300 students staged a massive road blockade, alleging an anesthesia overdose.

The Tamil Nadu government has formed a 4-member high-level expert committee to investigate. Minister S. Ramesh visited the site and promised strict action if medical negligence is proven. The report is expected within a week.
