Baku, the historic port city on the Caspian Sea, is renowned for its vast oil reserves and developed light industry. As a major energy hub linking Europe and Asia, its strategic value cannot be overstated. Intelligence reports confirm that Sangvis Ferri has fortified positions within the city, leveraging port infrastructure and oil facilities to solidify control.

To break the stalemate, G&K has initiated an amphibious landing operation. Assault vessels are approaching the harbor, with special operations units preparing for a forced landing along the coastline. Air support elements will suppress coastal defenses as ground forces move to secure the port and energy control centers.

Baku’s urban layout presents significant challenges. Narrow streets in the old city, dense industrial zones, and sprawling oil installations create ideal conditions for ambushes and close-quarters engagements while providing defenders with hardened positions. Control of the harbor, fuel depots, and communications nodes will determine the battle’s outcome.

If the landing succeeds, G&K will sever Sangvis Ferri’s energy lifeline along the Caspian coast and establish a critical beachhead for inland operations. Failure, however, would leave the assault force isolated and vulnerable. This storm-like offensive will shape the future of the southern front.

On June 30, 2014, the multiplayer master server was shut down alongside other GameSpy-powered titles,[5][6] although it can still be played online throughout fan-created mods with alternative servers. In 2017, Electronic Arts demanded the takedown of the modified versions of Battlefield 2 on alternate servers, distributed by a group known as "Revive Network", as infringement of their copyrights.
