Hydrocortisone can have serious side effects, and ultimately lead to a condition called topical steroid withdrawal. In this video I talk about how to prepare for topical steroid withdrawal (TSW) and what is the best way of getting off them.

✦ The severity of tsw will depend on how you used steroids (how much, how often, how strong) but most people will see some withdrawal symptoms from topical steroid cream. This is why I do not recommend hydrocortisone for eczema and instead use diet and lifetstyle to treat and manage my skin.
