Sabre 3 170 Opening

I got a demo canopy for the Sabre 3 170 from Performance Designs. I got it at a 170 to evaluate it from a new skydivers perspective. It was loaded about 1.1.

I was impressed by the openings. The Sabre lineage doesn't not have a great reputation for openings. The original Sabre (Sabre 1) was know to break lines and necks. The Sabre 2 wasn't as dangerous, but the openings left a lot to be desired.

I only did a couple of jumps on the Sabre 3 (weather in the PWN, womp womp) but I was pleasantly surprised by the openings. It didn't open like a Sabre. And that's a good thing.
