Gerard James Butler (aka Gerry Butler) was born in Paisley, Scotland, to Margaret and Edward Butler, a bookmaker. He spent some of his very early childhood in Montreal, Quebec, but was mostly raised, along with his older brother and sister, in his hometown of Paisley.
Among his most seen movies there are Dear Frankie, Phantom of The Opera, 300, Tomb Rider - The Cradle of Life, Coriolanus, P.S. I Love You, Machine Gun Preacher, Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, Angels Has Fallen, Hunter Killer, more recently Greenland (2020) and many more.
