How to identify a shorted ignition coil (Honda C.O.P.)
The test shown in this video can be used on any coil over plug system. This particular vehicle was a 2003 Honda Odyssey with a misfire complaint and misfire trouble codes. The first part of this video I show how to find the fault with no special test equipment, and for those of you eager to learn more about using your scope, I will not disappoint. The second half of this video I will be using my Picoscope and a low amp probe to identify a shorted secondary winding in the ignition coil.
