Gray Wolf Pup Chomps on a Pumpkin

Although classified as carnivores, wolves may sometimes follow an omnivorous diet. They can eat meat, eggs - even fruit! This time of year, pumpkins are a special treat for Silas.

Silas is a captive-born gray wolf who resides at the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC), a 501c3 non-profit organization, in South Salem, NY. As an Ambassador wolf, Silas helps teach the public about wolves and their vital role in the environment.
