Gabriel Byrne; scenic designers David Rockwell & Robin Wagner

We welcome Tony-Award nominated actor Gabriel Byrne from the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of Eugene O’Neill’s Long Day’s Journey into Night. Byrne talks about the inspiration for his character, O’Neill’s father, James, once one of the most promising actors of his generation. He also shares some of the fundamentals of acting that fuel his performance and those of his co-stars Jessica Lange, John Gallagher, Jr. and Michael Shannon as they interpret this great classic of the American stage that runs over 3 and a half hours.

Also on the program, designer David Rockwell, nominated for a Tony Award for the scenic design of She Loves Me (also produced by the Roundabout Theatre Company) and his fellow scenic designer Robin Wagner, whose sets for the original productions of A Chorus Line, Dreamgirls, On the Twentieth Century and many more, have established him as one of the great masters in his field.
