Strip Wash, Titanic Tragedy & A Lighthouse Saved D-Day

The local campsites were fully booked, so it was strip wash time in the van 🚐💦 — real van life in Ireland! From there we uncovered the Titanic tragedy at Addergoole, then travelled on to Blacksod Lighthouse, where a weather report helped save D-Day.

Our road trip also took us to hidden beaches on Achill Island, a unique park-up at Deirbhle’s Twist, and the home of Captain Boycott — the man behind the word “boycott.” A mix of van life challenges, Irish history, and Wild Atlantic scenery made this journey unforgettable.
