JIMI HENDRIX NEW SONG; "GIG ECONOMIST"
Jimi's last recorded interview was with Keith Allston of NME just days before he died. I've sampled and processed some of his words to create a vocal track, so this could be his last "vocal". He describes the challenges of funding gigs and his plans for multi-media shows. It's great to hear him sounding so enthusiastic and there are some lines which will resonate with musicians, like "How much do they pay around here?" and "It's really hard to know what people want". Then I added guitar, bass, drums and organ. Although I obviously can't play like Hendrix or Mitch Mitchell this is an affectionate homage to their styles.
