HyperLynx DRC — What's New in the 2604 Release

🧙 Creepage Batch Wizard improvements — The Creepage Batch Wizard, which debuted in the previous release, now features enhanced usability in 2604. The Application Launcher can invoke the wizard directly from within HyperLynx DRC, eliminating the need to launch it as a separate install utility. The wizard streamlines creepage checking from layout, performing multi-layer batch checks for clearance rules defined by net classes in Xpedition Constraint Manager.

📋 Violation reporting enhancements — A violation report is generated with any issues found during the run. The number of violations is now displayed directly in the wizard prior to opening the report, and a zero is shown when no violations are found.

📐 Usability improvements — Units of measurement are now displayed directly in the distance column. Tooltips have also been added — for example, hovering over the Layers column shows which parameters can be entered to target specific layers or layer groupings for the batch check.

🤖 Product Support Copilot — Alongside other Siemens EDA tools, a Product Support Copilot has been added to HyperLynx DRC. Users can now ask the Copilot questions about tool documentation through natural language queries, streamlining access to feature information without manual document searches.

📏 Rule updates — This release includes several rule refinements:

- The decoupling capacitor replacement rule has enhanced validation.
- The acute angle rule has been refined to eliminate false violations.
- The net length rule features a new violation visualization in the board viewer.
- The component alignment rule has upgraded accuracy.
🏗️ Foundation & stability — The 2604 release focuses extensively on stability, completeness, and overall quality, establishing a more resilient foundation for future updates. This includes enhancements to the scripting environment and improvements to the results review process, including current-versus-previous comparison behavior. Navigation now keeps prior results visible.
