Before we even talk about this watch, let me ask you, do you own a Calatrava? You do? But why would you??

That's what I had in my head when I picked up this watch from my friends at Wingwah Watch Penang. The first thing you'll notice is that the Calatrava is small, sized around 33mm. This isn't a coincidence because the first Calatravas were made in the 1980s. Back then, people preferred bigger sized watches (even the women)

Patek Philippe then shakes the whole industry up by saying "yeah you keep your over sized time pieces, I'm keeping mine elegant and small" and boy did that strategy pay off! We're talking about a compact 9mm thin watch that is given the full Patek Philippe treatment complete with 18K yellow gold and a PORCELAIN dial.
