In this video, we're going to be showing you how to come into reclined bound angle pose or soup to baddha konasana. So starting off on your back you want to bend your knees and place your feet firmly on the mat.
When you're ready, take a big inhale through the nose and on your exhale opening up your knees to either side of the mat like a book bringing your heels together. With every inhale you lengthen and every exhale you allow the knees to fall closer and closer to either side of the mat. Holding it here for five breaths.
So there's a few variations of this posture that you can play around with your hands. So placing one hand on the belly and the other on the chest to support. Another option is to place the arms over the head just allowing them to relax any way you choose. Whatever feels comfortable.
So here is the restorative version of this posture. We have Brianne here with a pillow under her spine to support her back, as well as props underneath your knees to help as they fall to either side.
