When the dry spell in September begins, they bring a pop of colour to the South Luangwa National Park, arriving in their hundreds.

Fun Fact: Did you know that when the carmines are hunting bees, they will smash the bees into branches, rubbing the bees' abdomen to remove the venomous sting before eating the bee. Smart birds!
