Welcome to my channel “My Lockdown Rasoi”

This easy fondant recipe uses ingredients that are probably already in your pantry. this standard fondant icing with a sweet taste that kids love. Fondant is great for covering cakes and cupcakes, allowing beginners and experienced bakers to make homemade cakes look professional. For a fun flare, this recipe can be used to top off treats with flowers, letters, and other decorations. This simple recipe can also be flavored and tinted to any color with ease.

Ingredients:-
for glucose syrup 👇
5 Tbsp- Regular sugar (100g)
3 Tbsp- water (45g)
1 Tsp**- Lemon juice (Note:- lemon juice is used to prevent sugar from crystallization so pls dont forget to add)
2 Tbsp- butter (20g) (butter keeps the fondant soft so also dont forget to add)
1/4 tsp - Vanilla Essence ( its used for flavouring your fondant)
for Icing Sugar-
2 cup (400g)- Regular sugar grind into fine powder

**Please Read teaspoon (tsp) in place of tbsp in video

Add icing sugar as required to Knead the fondant until is smooth, pliable and does not stick to your hands. If fondant is too soft, add more sugar; if too stiff, add little butter at a time.

IMPORTANT NOTE: 1. If your fondant is wet or too soft while mixing add more sugar, it can differ depending on climate and ingredients.
2. Use fondant immediately or store in airtight container in fridge. When ready to use, bring to room temperature and knead again until soft.
3.While the syrup is boiling keep testing it for its one thread consistency.
4. Knead fondant at least 10 to 12 minutes.

Tips for Working with Fondant
1. For longer storage, roll fondant into a ball, Wrap in plastic wrap, then place the wrapped fondant in an airtight container. It can be stored for up to 2 months this way. Do not freeze it.
If fondant is too soft or sticky to roll, knead in a little additional powdered sugar.
2. Make sure your hands are clean when handling fondant, and avoid wearing clothing with fibers that might shed.
3. If you are covering a cake or cupcakes with fondant, lightly cover with a glaze or buttercream frosting first to create a smooth surface.
