Chad Smith Plays "Wu‐Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing Ta F’ Wit"

When we asked Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers to choose some of his favorite recorded performances to play at Drumeo, this track was among his very first picks.

Chad collaborated with Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello and members of the Wu-Tang Clan on a rock-infused rendition of "Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing Ta F’ Wit." This version was featured on the 2000 compilation album 'Loud Rocks', which blended hip-hop and rock artists in genre-crossing collaborations.

In this track, Smith provided the drums, while Morello contributed guitar and bass, adding a heavy rock edge to the original song's raw energy. The production was overseen by Rick Rubin, with mixing by Rich Costey. The collaboration maintained the original verses from Wu-Tang members like Method Man and RZA, but the instrumentation was reimagined with live rock elements, creating a powerful fusion of rap and rock.
