OpenAI will soon ask to use your content as training data | TechCrunch Minute
OpenAI is building a tool that will allow creators and media companies to opt-out of the dataset used to train ChatGPT. The new tool, Media Manager, will be released in 2025 and it’s unclear exactly how it will work. But the promise is that OpenAI will no longer have free reign to everything posted online. This points to AI companies trying to find ways to ensure their impact is largely positive — or maybe they’re just trying to avoid controversy.
