Jeanneau 440 Yacht of the Year Walkthrough

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440 was elected "European Yacht of the Year" at the BOOT boat show in Duesseldorf. So of course I was interested to make a walkthrough video of the boat. Unfortunately there was a big crowd who wanted to see the boat also, so there was little space for filming. I therefore put some photos as well.

My personal impression was, that the 440 does show some interesting innovations on deck, like the easy access of the sidedeck from the helm. We have a similar approach on our VOLT yacht project, so you don't have to climb over the cockpit benches.

However, the interior layout of the 440 did not convince me. I was missing a real concept for the boat layout. And the build quality could be better for a Jeanneau.

So I had a mixed impression. Some good ideas, but not the level of innovation that I would have expected.
