SACRA Match 14 at the Northern Cape Championship 2015

Members of the South African Correctional Services, SA National Defence Force (SA Army, SA Military Health Services and SA Air Force) and South African Police Service (SAPS) participating in the South African Combat Rifle Association's (SACRA) Match 14 at the Northern Cape Provincial Championship.

March 14 is a Snap shooting exercise from the 100m shooting point, which is shot in the standing then kneeling or squatting positions. The march consists out of five double exposures: one exposure of the target for 3 seconds, with the target down for 2 seconds, followed by an exposure of the target for another 3 seconds. The target is a Figure 12a target.

The match starts with the competitors adopting the standing alert position, with the safety catch applied. When the targets appear for the first exposure the competitors will engage the targets with one shot from the standing position, the targets will then "disappear" for 2 seconds and then will reappear for another exposure of 3 seconds, whereby the competitors will engage the targets with one shot from the kneeling or squatting position. This cycle of double exposures will be repeated 5 times with 5 second intervals between each double exposure.
