Medieval History: The Murder Hole

Dalkey Castle runs an award-winning Living History tour where children and their families / group meet actors dressed as Vikings, Archers, Cooks etc. who lead them through the 10th century churchyard and 15th century Castle demonstrating archery, coin minting, the Murder Hole, the origins of the red and white barber poles, the stockades etc. Children and adults alike are immersed and engaged in this theatrical living history tour.
