Building an Isopod & Millipede Mixed Species Terrarium (Philoscia muscorum & Polydesmus angustus)

In this video I create a new terrarium to house two different species of invertebrate. The first species is a species of isopod known as the "Fast Woodlouse" (Philoscia muscorum). These isopods are interesting as they have much longer legs than the average isopod, which enables them to run very fast. The second species I chose for this terrarium is the Flat-backed Millipede (Polydesmus angustus) which have an interesting anatomy and are a lot less active. They spend a majority of their lives under ground, therefore I hope that the millipedes create tunnel systems up against the glass inside this terrarium.

For the plant I used Spagnum Moss as it was something I had a lot of in another terrarium. Spagnum moss grows very fast and retains water incredibly well. I think it should help create a humid environment and also provide food and shelter for the invertebrates inside.

I did record a single Blue Spring tail within the terrarium! This excited me as I had never seen it before. I assume it hitchhiked on the spagnum moss. Hopefully it breeds because I'd love to see more of them again!

EDIT: Yeah i noticed I wrote "time to add the animals" twice, forgive me I've been up for many hours editing and it's currently almost 3am lol
