Beamish: The Living Museum of the North, February 2020

Whilst in Durham, I decided to take the bus to the neighboring Chester-le-Street, from there it was a short bus ride to the amazing Beamish, The Living Museum of the North. Set in 300 glorious acres. Beamish recreates life in the North as it would have been in the 1820's, 1900's, and 1940's, with an expansion into the 1950's coming soon!

Join me as I explore this amazing museum, getting lost in the history (with no mobile signal!), as I journey through 1820's Pockerley, into the 1900's Edwardian High Street and Rowley station, taking a journey on the excellent railway, before coming round to the 1940's farm, and ending back in the 1900's at the Colliery and Pit Village.

Beamish is a place unlike any other, and a visit is an absolute must, I do hope to be able to return to one of their special events soon!
