The new Corvette Z06 and Shelby GT350R don't really compete directly, but they have one major similarity...both have an flat plane crank naturally aspirate V8. This common engine configuration makes them quite unique and special, especially among American sportscars. The new Z06 is far more expensive, powerful and capable, but given that these are both naturally aspirated high revving V8s, its worth comparing!
