How To Remove Feedback From Live Gig Video & Audio Recordings Using Free Software - Tutorial Guide

In this video I show you how to remove / notch out feedback from video and audio recordings using free software and a little patience. This was a 'in the moment' video idea I had while doing this for a friend as I figured people could find it helpful. I've tried to cover everything in easy to follow and understand terms, but if you're struggling with anything then leave a comment down below and I'll try to advise or help.

The success rate will vary greatly depending on how bad your feedback is and the quality of the audio recording, along with how long you are willing to spend on it as I demonstrate in this video. This is focused on live music / gig video recordings but I see no reason you couldn't apply this same process to other problem feedback you may have. Please note whatever you do you will always loose some audio 'quality' / bandwidth at the sections you notch out when removing feedback, This is unavoidable but could help you save or salvage a recording that you might not be able to re-record.

Commands:
First command for ffmpeg to strip audio OUT from a video file:
ffmpeg -i "InputFile.mp4" "Audio.wav"

Second command for ffmpeg to combine audio back INTO a video file:
ffmpeg -i "OriginalVideo.mp4" -i "FixedAudio.wav" -c:v copy -map 0:v:0 -map 1:a:0 "FixedVideo.mp4"
