Here in the UK, the standard model costs from £179 while the Pro will set you back £279. They are released in October.

These UK models are slightly different to other versions launched globally - so for instance, the Realme 7 Pro boasts a 64MP primary camera, versus the 48MP sensor on the vanilla model. Photo quality is therefore quite different, as you'll see in this comparison test.

That Pro phone also boasts an OLED screen, making it one of the cheapest budget handsets to offer AMOLED tech. That sharp contrast and punchy colour reproduction beats the Realme 7's IPS display hands down - although you only get a 90Hz refresh rate on the cheaper device.

Thankfully these cut-price smartphones are level pegging when it comes to gaming chops and battery performance. You can play PubG Mobile and Call of Duty on high detail settings on the Realme 7 and Pro, no worries. The Mediatek Helio G95 almost completely keeps up with that Snapdragon 720G for gaming. As for battery life, you'll get two days of casual use or a full day and a bit of intense use per charge.
