1600 ATLANTIC, Part 2 (PEYTON WATSON Senior Year)

PART 2 of 1600 ATLANTIC focuses on the long anticipated senior season, of Peyton Watson and the Long Beach Poly Basketball team. Poly, is one of the most historic schools in Southern California. Athletically, they have legends who hail from the school, Billie Jean King, Tony Gwynn, the most NFL athletes of any high school, multiple Olympians and Peyton Watson is looking to add his name to that list.

Peyton, is a Top 5 player in the 2021 class and committed to UCLA. Alongside Peyton, his younger brother, Christian, the teams point guard and also a Division 1 prospect (Cal, Arizona, Washington St. offers).

The man at the helm, Shelton Diggs, the Jack Rabbits Head Coach for the last 8 seasons, and winner of the CIF in his inaugural season (2014).

With 9 players returning from the 2020 season including guard, Anthony Robinson , the additions of transfers 6’8 Jalen Pitre (Junior) and 6’5 Swingman, Lorenzo Marsh , Poly is loaded. The only thing stopping Poly from the history books is Covid 19, but now the season is finally underway!
