Palestinians in Gaza rush to receive airdropped US aid
The United States, Israel’s top ally, carried out its first operation to assist Palestinians with much-needed aid, dropping humanitarian packages on southern Gaza via parachutes on March 2.
This action comes amid a report from Gaza’s media office that 2.4 million people in the besieged enclave are suffering “from severe food shortages and famine” as Israel continues to severely restrict aid entering the Palestinian territory by land.
