THE END OF THE TUNNEL is an experimental short film created by an enthusiastic and motivated group of cinema professionals and students.

It was shot in West London using innovative equipment and creative solutions to deliver the emotions of indepent horror cinema to the newest technology available in the field of video: VR.

180 NOT 360
Most people know VR videos in the form of 360 flat videos. This was in fact the very first wave of contents that came out on the web, and while that format can be exciting and useful for documentary and immersive experiences it creates a lot of limitations when trying to tell a story from the director's point of view.
It is our opinion that cinema spectators shouldn't have to constantly turn their head and body around to watch a movie. With 180 degrees VR you only need to move your eyes a little to explore all the elements of a scene and still have that feeling of complete immersion that we are looking for, especially with the depth of 3D. So just sit tight and enjoy the show: we move the camera for you!

HOW TO VIEW
The film has been shot using special rigs to be able to shoot both in First Person View and in objective view, trying to represent the thoughts and memories of the characters, always providing a fully immersive experience inside the story.
It can be viewed with any VR headsets on the market including cardboards made for phones, although with inferior visual quality. Social medias like YouTube have implemented this technology in full 5K 2D or 3D automatically adapting to your device and our work is fully compatible with all VR standards of the moment, so you don't need any special video player. If you have never tried 3D VR features on YouTube or other socials you are really missing out!
