The footage is transformed through stylistic elements such as text, various transitions, cuts, editing techniques such as graphical matches and matches on action, voice-over narration, accompanying musical score that is all in service of my overarching thesis. It is using the audio-video language of film to create something new in the process which is the essence of an audio video essay.
