40 Miles Through The Golden Trout Wilderness

We embarked on a 4 day backpacking trip through the Golden Trout Wilderness encompassing the Sequoia and Inyo National Forests. Our plan was to hike to Jordan Hot springs on Nine Mile Creek. Since the Black Rock Trailhead was closed due to the high snow mark we had this season, we tried reaching the hot springs from Jerkey Meadow turning our trip from 10 miles round trip to 40 miles round trip.
