Lisbon funicular crash survivor recalls ‘crazy speed’

At least 17 people were killed and 21 injured after a historic funicular derailed in Lisbon, crashing into a building on a steep hillside. Survivors described the tram speeding “at a crazy pace” before the deadly collision, as authorities shut other lines for safety checks.
