In this video, I take you through the 2006 FIFA World Cup match between the Netherlands and Portugal. The match took place in Nuremberg's Frankenstadion on June 25th, 2006 and produced the highest number of cards ever awarded in a World Cup game. Russian referee Valentin Ivanov was responsible for issuing 4 red cards and 16 yellow cards in this match. In the end, Portugal won the match 1-0, with a goal by Maniche in the 23rd minute, with the Portugal advancing to meet England in the quarter-finals.
