Throughout the 80s, Stallone was a more lean and athletic version of Arnie, and whereas the Austrian Oak tended to use brute strength and mini guns to vanquish the bad guys, Stallone has used, over the many decades of service, exploding arrows, knives, fists and feet, multiple guns, sticks, and even his bare hands to rip out some mofo’s throat. While Elite Outcomes doesn’t necessary recommended his Rocky fighting strategy of letting an opponent punch you repeatedly in the head and face until they grow tired, he more than makes up for this limited tactical variety in the Rambo series, and dozens of other films, with a gloriously broad canvas of annihilation.
