World's 1st Wind-Powered Water Slide - REVAMPED Storm Force 1 | AquaMagis

Take a ride on the Storm Force 1 water slide at AquaMagis in Plettenberg, Germany. Storm Force 1 was the very first installation of Klarer's Storm Chaser which is a wind-powered water slide. The circuit-shaped water slide does not have any inclination. Instead, there is a giant turbine sitting above the entry of the slide. Once the riders has buckled on their windshield on their back, they have to push themselves into the ride using the handrails, sitting upright. Once the guests reaches the actual slide, the wind will suddenly speed them up and they swish through the circuit within seconds before eventually ending their ride on the same spot where they entered the ride. Before exiting, they have to surrender their windshield to the next guest waiting in line. When the ride opened in 2018, they used inflatable boats with windshields, however, they transformed Storm Force 1 into a body slide a few years ago.

In 2023, the slide received an insulation cover in order to save energy, however, contrary to the Aqualooping slide, Storm Force 1 was not replaced. Due to the insulation, it became much darker inside the slide as all the translucent light effects had disappered. Therefore, the manufacturer added more LED light effects, giving the slide a much different look so it was about time to make a new video!
