Pope Francis dies 88

Reactions from across the United States and around the world are pouring in after the death of Pope Francis, the first Latin American pontiff, who passed away at the age of 88.

The Vatican camerlengo made the official announcement Easter Monday morning.

Pope Francis, known for his compassion for the poor and outspoken views on social issues, charmed many during his papacy but drew criticism from conservatives, particularly for his stances on capitalism and climate change.
