Sony NEX-5R Slow Motion Test - 04

This is my fourth attempt at conforming 60p footage to 24p in Final Cut Pro X. Footage is AVCHD transcoded to ProRes for online editorial process. This time I chose to add a little color and create a "look" to help the subject pop from the background. Footage is rendered free of frame interpolation beyond initial transcode to ProRes 422. No frame blending or optical flow were used.

Camera settings:
60p @ 28Mbps
Shutter 1/125
ISO 200
f/5.6

Shot on tripod. NEX-5R was set to full manual control. Picture profile was set to EOSHD.com recommendations. Glass used was Nikon 50mm f/1.2.

Again, I'm quite happy with the slow motion results. I will begin to test with the Twixtor plugin for After Effects to push the limits of slow motion in the days and weeks to come.
