MiMa's cover of The Doors - Riders On The Storm

This is for you, Ray. May your music live forever.

This is the first song which really impressed me in my whole life. It was like a lightning strike in my mind and I liked it from the very first notes. This happened when I was at the tender age of 3.
And this is the first song I began to work on when I started to seriously think to play keyboards, 17/18 years after (a bit too late I know).
In other words, this song started it all. And now I covered it, all by ear as my habit :-)
That haunting Ray's keyboard line it's so ipnotic, a true masterpiece, together with the interaction of Robbie's guitar. Well, this whole song is a masterpiece, one of the Doors' top songs.
I played it over a base given by a person which sent to me some Doors' bases without the keyboard lines and Jim's voice (Thanks mr. Claudio G.!). To make Jim singing in the song again, I searched on YouTube for a video of Riders On The Storm with Jim's voice only, I took the audio part from it, sliced the individual verses and put them on the base. Finally I played the keyboard line, which I panned left in the stereo field, like in the original song (on the right there's the guitar).
The Rhodes piano sound it's being played thru the Electro 3's onboard Fender Twin amp's simulation, with a bit of overdrive and some EQ to approach the original sound.
I hope you like my cover. I still have to improve my dynamics control, so the piano it's played a bit rough in some parts, sorry for that.
