After Hurricane Sandy left Manhattan’s grocery shelves empty, one team of innovators asked a crazy question: "If we can build floating houses, why not a floating farm?"

In this video, The World's Joshua Coe takes us aboard Rotterdam’s Floating Farm, co-founded by Minke van Wingerden, to see how 32 cows are living—and thriving—on the water. From producing 22 liters of milk a day to crafting fresh yogurt and cheese we see how floating farms could reshape urban food infrastructure in a changing climate.
