DIY RFID reader or RFID keypad using ESP-RFID on esp8266 and MQTT for Home Network integration

Build your own smart lock with RFID and a key pad on ESP8266 micro-controllers. Using the Wemos D1 or NodeMCU or an ESP-12F or any other ESP8266 based system you can enable your RFID Keypad for Wi-fi and integrate it into your smart home environment using MQTT. The software we are using to achieve this is called ESP-RFID and is available on github
https://github.com/esprfid/esp-rfid
ESP-RFID supports MQTT and hence a keypad or RFID reader using ESP-RFID can easily be integrated into your home network. An MQTT Server on OpenWRT or Linux or in the cloud can receive messages from ESP-RFID. A linux server running Mosquitto can intercept the complete log messages or alternatively you could have Node-Red, Home Assistant or FHEM running on a Raspberry Pi or any other Linux Server or in a Docker container to design complete workflows around MQTT. An example that I show in the video is to have an MQTT message be created on a topic that is intercepted by a linux server or OpenWrt Router which then calls a software to send an SMS Text or using a simple URL with curl or wget to send a message via telegram.
