I Lay It All Down — A Night Prayer

The day is behind you. Now lay it down.
This night prayer is for every soul that carries the day to bed with them — the weight of it, the worry of it, the moments that did not go as hoped and the conversations that are still replaying long after they should have ended. Tonight you do not have to hold any of it. Tonight you release it all — every weight, every worry, every imperfect moment — into hands that are far more capable than yours.
In this prayer, we thank God for walking with us through the day even in the moments we forgot He was there. We confess honestly — the impatience, the words we wish we could take back, the moments we chose self over service — and we receive forgiveness freely and completely. We ask God to still our minds, quiet the replaying conversations, and silence every anxiety already rehearsing tomorrow's fears. We pray cover over everyone we love. And we simply rest — not because everything is resolved but because God has made space for rest and He is holding every unresolved thing through the night.
This is what it looks like to end a day well. Not perfectly. Just honestly — in God's presence.
