Rabbi defends Keir Starmer's 'Israel have the right' stance on Gaza siege | Cross Question

Iain Dale and his Cross Question panel discuss whether Keir Starmer can maintain the support of Muslim voters, after a caller suggested that a number of Muslims who supported Labour at the last election are unhappy with his position regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Starmer told LBC that it's acceptable for Israel to withhold power and water from citizens in Gaza: "I think Israel does have that right," he said. "It is an ongoing situation. Obviously, everything should be done within international law. But I don't want to step away from the sort of core principles that Israel has a right to defend itself."
