4 Days in the Kawartha Lakes | Ontario Travel Vlog

The girlfriend and I spent 4 days during the summer exploring the Kawartha Lakes in near-Northern Ontario. For 2 nights we stayed at the Viamede Resort on Stoney Lake and the other 2 nights we stayed at the Beachwood Resort in Buckhorn.

During our trip we explored both properties and spent time hiking, swimming, kayaking, and relaxing during our trip. We also explored many of the small towns, local attractions, and natural areas nearby.

Some of the places we checked out included the small towns of Lakefield and Bobcaygeon. We visited the historic locks on the Trent-Severn Waterway and spent time hiking in the Kawarthas.

The Kawartha Lakes are a chain of lakes in south-central Ontario that form the upper watershed of the Trent River. There are a number of resorts, hotels, and small towns throughout the Kawartha Lakes region worth checking out. The hiking is world-class and there are plenty of opportunities to see wildlife.
