Hi, friends, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this etrailer Forged Steel D-Ring Tie-Down Anchor with Clip. Now, this is a heavy-duty weld-on D-Ring tie-down that's made for trailers and hauling setups where you need a strong, reliable anchor point. This is rated for a 4,000-pound working load, so it's plenty capable for securing equipment, machinery, and other heavy cargo. Now, what's nice about this is that you're gonna be able to weld this exactly where you need it, instead of being stuck with factory tie-down points that might not line up well. So, you're gonna be able to position this so that your straps are chains pull straight.

That's gonna help avoid awkward angles and give you a more secure hold. Before we go any further, let me give you some measurements. So, looking at what I'm calling the outer width, looks like we're pretty close to 3 1/2 inches. The outer length or height, again, about 3 1/2 inches. The internal width, about 2 3/8 inches.

And the internal length or height, yeah, again, about 2 3/8 inches. The ring thickness as we have stamped here, is half an inch. This does come oil-coated and unfinished, which means that it's protected from rust during storage, but still ready to weld right out of the box. No extra prep is going to be needed. The ring itself is made from forged steel, so this is tougher than standard steel, and its gonna hold its shape better over time, even with repeated use and heavy loads.

It's going to give you a solid, dependable spot again to hook straps, ropes, or chains, all without worrying about bending or wear. The clip is included, as I mentioned. In terms of strength, this has a 4,000-pound working load limit and a 12,000-pound breaking strength, so there's a good safety margin built in.
