In this video I go over what we did a lot in college golf. THE GAUNTLET. Basically, it's just an up and down contest. But we would be given a goal for 9 holes and we weren't allowed to leave practice until we made it through the gauntlet. (Not actually because of NCAA rules lol). A good score would be Even to 2 over through 9 holes depending on the conditions/difficulty, but you can absolutely adjust that to your skill level!

This is hands down THE BEST WAY to improve your short game because it forces you to learn to hit different shots. You learn how the ball reacts to different lies and you start actually focusing on hitting good chip shots. Instead of the technical mechanics of the chipping motion.

As you may already know, improving your short game is the fastest way you can improve your golf game. I'd go even a step further than that and say golf IS short game. As un-sexy as that is to say, it's absolutely true. The best players in the world aren't there because of their ball striking. It's because they can get up and down out of a trash can. It's unreal.
