The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, along with the Bells on Temple Square and the Gabriel Trumpet Ensemble, present a special Easter Concert entitled “He Is Risen: A Sacred Easter Presentation.” Conductor for the program is Mack Wilberg, with organists Richard Elliott and Brian Mathias.

11) Worthy Is the Lamb That Was Slain, from Messiah

The concert will focus on the joy, hope, and promise the Resurrection of the Savior Jesus Christ brings to the world. The presentation will feature a variety of sacred hymns and songs as well as readings of New Testament accounts of the Resurrection. The concert will be held at the Salt Lake Tabernacle on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Next year, the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square will continue their biennial tradition of performing Handel’s Messiah on April 10–11, 2020. This Easter performance has occurred every two years since 2014 and is streamed live over the internet to audiences around the world.
