DIY Miniature Drums | Hi-Hat Stand | Episode #14

It is monday my dudes. Welcome back! I am happy to report that I have finally completed the Hi-Hat stand! COMMENT YOUR IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS BELOW! This was one of the hardest challenges yet for the Miniature Drum Kit build. Sorry this one is late! I like to get these videos out by noon. I woke up at 6am today, determined to get it done! After some deliberation, I managed to complete it by the grace of God! Whewh!

This week has been very trying. I have gone through a few different trials and I'm not sure how I am coming out of them yet. One, I am focused on my health right now. Doing a pretty extensive diet, trying to exercise daily....the goal is to do this for three months. Seems difficult. Not sure how everything is going to turn out. 2. I missed an opportunity this week, but I'm not sure if my wife and I were supposed to go or not. 3. My best friend's dad passed away this week. 4. I struggled greatly putting out this video. 5. I'm feeling nervous about everything going on in the world and even in my small world.

Ok, so what do I plan on doing about it. Well, for starters, getting off Youtube and being done with this video will help. It has fully consumed me today, and that is very rare. I feel kinda stuck in a loop right now. That will definitely help. I plan on going for a run immediately after this. After that, I need to fix a light bulb and start preparing for dinner. After that, I think I can slow down for the night and spend time with my wife.

But I know for a fact that all of these plans and ideas will NOT give me peace, true peace. I may make my wife happy by getting the rest of these things done, but I'm not going to actually find peace and joy until...I spend time with Jesus. The one who created me. I need more time with Him today. I read the Bible this morning and I spent some time in prayer, but I wasn't able to stay in that moment for long enough. I needed to get up and get working on this video.

So even though this video may bring others joy and some may read this blog, I should not sacrifice my routines that keep my family and myself sane for something like this, a hobby. I really shouldn't. However, I want to do everything in excellence. So this is how I've gotten here today. I encourage you to not have many days like this. Especially in a row. This is not a healthy pace or cycle to get into. Take time to rest. Take time to listen to your thoughts calm down and relax. Take time to talk to THE creator God who made you in the palm of His hands and formed your mother's womb.
