Shark Rocket with Zero M - What We Love
We review the Shark Rocket with Zero-M Technology. Tests are performed on carpet, hard floors, and hair. Comparisons are made to a host of other stick vacuums. See the Shark Rocket on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3taODXC

In this video we review the Shark Rocket with Zero-M technology (models ZS350C and ZS351). We walk through what you get with your Rocket and discuss what we believe are the differences between the ZS350C and the ZS351. We then discuss the tools we got with our ZS350C – the pet multi-tool and the crevice tool.
This is a corded stick vacuum and we like the long power cord. It is 30 feet in length which is about the same length as you get with many full size uprights. It provides a respectable cleaning reach. We also take a close look at Zero-M Technology and show the underside of the cleaner head and the different components that make up this technology.
We put Zero-M Technology to the test by placing long black human hair and short white pet hair on low pile carpet. The vacuum is put in carpet mode and run over the hair. We then look at the brushroll to see the extent of tangling.
We feel that the Rocket has fairly good movement. It has swivel steering which allows the cleaner head to turn at a twist of the wrist. We do get a little forward slippage on carpet but this does not take place on hard flooring. The unit has rubberized wheels.
This is a 2-in-1 vacuum so not only is it a stick vacuum but it is also a handheld vacuum. Simply removing the wand and cleaner head turn the vacuum into a handheld unit. You can place tools on the end of the handheld or on the end of the wand.
The vacuum is very easy to empty. The dust canister can be removed from the handheld component so you don’t have to disconnect the handheld from the vacuum. The dust canister is bottom empty. We show how all this works and it is a very simple and easy-to-do procedure.
There are three filters: Two pre-motor and one post-motor. All of these can be rinsed in water and re-used. They are also easy to access.
We like that the vacuum has headlights. They are on the front of the cleaner head and they turn on when the vacuum is on. There is no headlight on/off switch. There is also a light built into the handheld component and it illuminates the area in front of the handheld. A nice touch when you are working with the handheld and a tool.
The cleaner head is fairly low profile which allows you to vacuum under low furniture.
We tested the Rocket on small and medium sized debris on low pile carpet. In this test the vacuum picked up 98.0% of the debris. This isn’t a perfect score but it is quite respectable given pickup data we’ve seen with other stick vacs over the years.
We also tested the Rocket on our tile flooring. In this test the vacuum managed a very good 99.6% pickup. Note that the vacuum has the brushroll spinning in both carpet and hard floor modes. They just spin slower in hard floor mode.
